Lafayette
About This Spot
Stepping into Lafayette feels like slipping into a world where the charm of old-school cabaret meets the vibrant pulse of a contemporary London night out. Nestled on Goods Way, this spot strikes a delicate balance between theatrical energy and an intimate, almost conspiratorial atmosphere — a place where conversation mingles effortlessly with laughter, clinking glasses, and the occasional rhythmic beat from the DJ after the show.
The mood here is effortlessly stylish without ever feeling stuffy. Visitors lean into the slightly decadent vibe that recalls bygone eras of Parisian salons and classic performance halls, but with a modern edge that keeps things fresh and inviting. It’s the kind of venue designed not just for watching but for truly inhabiting the evening — where the spectacle on stage draws you in, yet the warmth of the atmosphere keeps you lingering long after the final act.
Dining at Lafayette fits snugly into the evening’s rhythm, offering comfort with a creative twist. Whether nibbling on crispy, spice-kissed chicken wings, savoring tender bites served with house-made sauces, or indulging in more substantial dishes like robust sirloin steak or a lively blackened salmon, every plate feels thoughtfully crafted to complement the spirited setting. The food echoes the venue’s personality — confident, generous, and designed to be shared with good company.
As night deepens, Lafayette effortlessly shifts from a lunch restaurant vibe into a buzzing event space where the energy hinges on human connection and shared enjoyment. Performances range from the playful and hilarious to the skillful and mesmerizing, animating the room with a sense of inclusion and surprise. Here, the audience isn’t just watching; they’re part of a collective experience, feeding off the performers’ vigor and the venue’s infectious charm.
What lingers longest is how Lafayette makes you feel as much as what you see or taste: embraced by a crowd that appreciates nuance and a little unpredictability, carried along by an ambiance where every moment—from the attentive service to the effortlessly curated soundtrack—feels like an invitation to unwind, engage, and savor the night.

Loved this place, we went to see the show sabrage and every minute from entering this venue was excellent, the staff are fabulous as are the cocktails and also the dj after the show played some excellent tunes and bongos. The show sabrage was one of the best ive seen this year, so much fun, the prosecco and food was perfect, thank you for such a wonderful entertaining evening.

Spot for a classic, grown-up night out. The atmospher is theatrical, a bit sexy, and feels like old cabaret nights. French group Sabrage's show was absolutely brilliant—hilarious, skilled, and created an amazing, fun vibe for the whole crowd. Gave the feeling of a crowd, everyone contributing to a fun night out. You will see stylish, mature audience, mainly nice dressed up in the venue. Drink prices are in London-scale (around £15-£20), though the quality can be a little hit-or-miss. Overall, fantastic experience. Its location right in King's Cross is super convenient with lots to do nearby. How to get there? By Train/Tube: The venue is just a 2-5 minute walk from King's Cross St. Pancras Station. By Bus: Several bus routes stop nearby. Key services include the 30, 63, 73, 91, 205, and 390. How to plan the visit? Before the Show: Explore King's Cross. Stroll through Coal Drops Yard, appreciate the stunning Victorian architecture of St. Pancras International and the modern redevelopment of King's Cross Station. After the Show: Continue the Night. Late-night Cocktails, or for a more peaceful end to the evening, take a stroll along the scenic Regent's Canal, located just beside the venue..

Went to see Sabrage. Great show, squashed seating though, small tables. Great decor, friendly staff. Extravagant prices! Very very expensive (+ they add on a surcharge for your )

I recently watched SABRAGE at Lafayette, and overall it was a great show with fantastic performances. The cast worked incredibly hard and it really showed — every performer gave 100%, and their energy, skill, and dedication made the night very entertaining. There was also nice interaction with the audience throughout the show, which kept the atmosphere lively and engaging. I genuinely appreciate the performers’ effort and professionalism. The only thing I personally wasn’t so keen on was the strong focus on sexual themes. That style isn’t really my thing, so parts of the show didn’t resonate with me as much. However, I still recognise that it was well-executed, and many people around me were clearly enjoying that aspect. Despite that, the overall experience was fun, vibrant, and memorable, and the performers truly deserve credit for putting on such a high-quality, entertaining show

Great venue. We loved sabrage show on a Sunday afternoon. High octane and so much naughty fun. So easy to get in and out. The stage was very close to the audience.
